# HubSpot Integration Setup

Set up the HubSpot lists and input data Boomerang uses to sync contacts and companies.

## HubSpot Input Setup

Use this setup flow to prepare HubSpot data for Boomerang.

Boomerang uses HubSpot lists and CRM records to sync contacts, match companies, and build relationship graphs for your team.

### Before you begin

Make sure you have:

* A dedicated integration user with the required permissions
* **Super Connector Admin** access in Boomerang
* A clear list strategy for the contact groups you want Boomerang to track

***

### Setup flow

Complete these steps in order:

1. [Create Active Lists](/integrations/hubspot-integration-setup/create-segments.md) in HubSpot and include the required contact and company fields.
2. [Connect HubSpot with Boomerang](/integrations/hubspot-integration-setup/connect-hubspot-with-boomerang.md) using your integration user.
3. [Add HubSpot Lists in Boomerang](/integrations/hubspot-integration-setup/add-hubspot-segments-in-boomerang.md) so Boomerang can ingest and use the data.

***

### What this setup enables

Once setup is complete, Boomerang can:

* Sync selected HubSpot contacts into relationship categories
* Match contacts to companies using HubSpot company data
* Use those records to build more accurate relationship graphs
* Keep data current as your Active Lists update over time

***

### Recommended setup order

Start with a small, high-value contact segment first.

Good examples include:

* Current customers
* Open pipeline contacts
* Target accounts
* Strategic partners

This makes it easier to validate list quality before scaling to more categories.

***

### Troubleshooting

* If no lists appear in Boomerang, confirm the lists are **Active Lists** and include **Boomerang** in the list name.
* If the HubSpot connection fails, verify the integration user has the required permissions.
* If contact counts look wrong, review the list filters and required fields before re-importing.

***

### Next steps

After HubSpot input setup is complete, review your imported categories and enable **Warm Relationship** where needed so Boomerang can use the data in relationship mapping.
