# Salesforce Integration Setup

Set up Salesforce reports and connection settings so Boomerang can import contacts and surface Warm Intros in Salesforce.

## Salesforce Integration Setup

Use this setup flow to connect Salesforce to Boomerang and prepare the data Boomerang uses for relationship mapping.

Boomerang uses Salesforce reports as contact sources. You can also embed Warm Intros directly in Salesforce Account records.

### Before you begin

Make sure you have:

* **Salesforce Admin** access, or a Salesforce user who can create reports and authorize integrations
* **Super Connector Admin** access in Boomerang
* A clear plan for which contacts or accounts Boomerang should track

***

### Setup flow

Complete these steps in order:

1. [Create Contact Account Report](/integrations/salesforce-integration-setup/create-contact-account-report.md) in Salesforce using the **Contacts & Accounts** report type.
2. [Connect Boomerang to Salesforce](/integrations/salesforce-integration-setup/connect-boomerang-to-salesforce.md) and authorize the integration.
3. [Add Salesforce Report in Boomerang](/integrations/salesforce-integration-setup/add-salesforce-report-in-boomerang.md) so Boomerang can ingest the report and use it in a contact relationship category.
4. [Configure iFrame in Salesforce](/integrations/salesforce-integration-setup/configure-iframe-in-salesforce.md) to show **Warm Intros** on Account records.

***

### What this setup enables

Once setup is complete, Boomerang can:

* Import contacts from selected Salesforce reports
* Use those contacts in relationship categories
* Build relationship graphs from Salesforce-backed contact sources
* Show **Warm Intros** inside Salesforce Account records when the embedded view is configured

***

### Recommended setup order

Start with one clean report first.

Good examples include:

* Open opportunities
* Named accounts
* Strategic partners
* Customer expansion targets

Validate the imported contact count before adding more reports.

***

### Troubleshooting

* If Salesforce does not connect, confirm the Boomerang user has **Super Connector Admin** access and the Salesforce login can authorize connected apps.
* If no reports appear in Boomerang, confirm the report uses the **Contacts & Accounts** report type.
* If the imported contact count looks wrong, review the report filters and rerun the import.
* If the embedded **Warm Intros** view does not load in Salesforce, check the trusted URL and Visualforce page setup.
